The Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Agreda

The Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Agreda has had a profound influence on me and I highly recommend it to anyone who desires to delve more deeply into the mysteries of God. This book will give you a marvelous new way of seeing life; a whole new understanding of who God is and of who Satan is. It has been acclaimed by several popes many of whom prepared homilies from it. The Blessed Virgin herself dictated her entire life story to Sister Mary in 4 volumes. There are several chapters that expose the cunning treachery of her great enemy and ours, the Red Dragon of Revelations, chapter 12. She explains exactly where he came from.

To illustrate the power of these volumes I would like to tell you the story of Sharon. In 1979 I went to work for another Optometrist who employed several young ladies. During my free time I would often read from one of the four volumes. One day Sharon saw the book and informed me: "I used to be Catholic, but now I am into Satan worship!" Thereafter Sharon was in a special place in my prayers of petition, and whenever I came accross a chapter about Satan I would ask her if she would like to read it since she had an interest in him. This went on for two years. Then one day Sharon asked me: "Where do you go to confession?" She went to confession and became an ardent Roman Catholic, going so far as to leaving her relationship with her live-in boyfriend.
